Accessibility statement
This website is run by the student organising committee of the LSE Hellenic Conference. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it, whatever device or assistive technology you use.
If you need something from this site in a different format, or you cannot use part of it, please tell us through the enquiries page.
What you should be able to do
- Read every page at your own text size, including with the browser zoom.
- Navigate the whole site with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- Skip straight to the main content from the top of every page.
- Choose between the light and the dark colour scheme.
- Use the site on a phone, a tablet or a desktop without scrolling sideways.
- Follow the pages with a screen reader: each page has one main heading, headings are in order, links say where they go, and statistics carry their own labels.
How we checked
We tested the site by hand in September 2026. We measured the colour contrast of the body text, headings, buttons, navigation, labels and statistics against the levels set out in WCAG 2.2 AA. We checked that every page has a single main heading and a logical heading order, that keyboard focus is clearly visible on links and buttons, that the skip link works, and that no page scrolls sideways at a 320 pixel viewport.
Body text, headings, buttons, navigation, the footer and the statistics all measure well above the minimum. The gold accent used for the small label text measured 2.9 to 1 and was raised to 4.96 to 1 so that it passes.
What is not fully accessible yet
- We have not yet tested every page with a screen reader, with speech recognition software or with switch access.
- We have not yet run an automated accessibility audit.
- If we publish a document as a PDF, for example a sponsorship prospectus, it may not be fully accessible. Ask us and we will send the information as a web page or in another format.
- The partnership comparison table on the sponsorship page is wide by nature. If it is difficult to use on your screen, ask us and we will send the same information another way.
- The site currently contains no images. Any added later will carry alternative text that describes what the image is for.
Telling us about a problem
Write to us through the enquiries page. Please say which page you were on, what happened, and what you were using if you can. We will reply as soon as we are able, and we will not ask you for anything you would rather not give.
If our reply does not resolve it, tell us and the committee will take it up as a whole. The conference is student-run and is not an official publication of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Technical information
The site runs on Next.js. Pages use standard headings, landmarks and lists, the language is declared as English (United Kingdom), and the colour scheme follows your system setting unless you choose otherwise.
How this statement was prepared
Prepared on 29 September 2026 after a manual check of the public pages. We will review it when the 2027 date, programme and ticket release are published.
